Cal Corps: Connecting with Community

A major part of being at Cal is the strong community involvement our students engage in.

One example: Recently the Berkeley Public Education Foundation awarded our Cal Corps Public Service Center its Distinguished Community Partner Award. Cal Corps' BUILD program provides literacy tutoring to the neediest of students in the Berkeley Unified School District.

Cal Corps Public Service Center facilitates partnerships between the University and the community to create educational programs, promote leadership through service, and foster civic engagement. Cal Corps supports student volunteer, internship, and job opportunities.
